First of all, sorry about my blog posting this late.
This is my short story how I contributed to Wikiversity.
 
I started this assigment from the LeMill. I created my LeMill user profile and aimed to take a part in some already established project there as well as providing my own project. But alas, when I would have had time to finish this LeMill was down (and currently is so I cannot provide the link to my user profile there.
 

AAARGH!
I just wrote some hundreds of words of commentary about all the example sites directly to my blog editor and guess what? Somehow the page updated itself and the text was gone just like that. This makes me feel like screaming. And crying.
A few lines and the to bed.

At first I must state that ideas presented in introduction about open educational material are pretty much similar to mine. This was comforting, I am on the right track. Several years I have been pondering over the current situation where the wheel gets re-invented every year. I have been experimenting my ideas through projects relating to my musical interests. I have been following closely pioneers of oper resource creators, GNU for example. The vision on making the world as one educational resource provider is inspiring.

My interests to participate in
 
Composing free and open online educational resources
 
are partly professional but mainly personal. I work as a new media lecturer in University of applied sciences in Joensuu, Finland. I have always been a supporter of open software and now open course material also. I have my own lab where I have been starting open projectes recently with my students.
 

Jos haluat olla nykyään katu-uskottava, niin ehdottoman tärkeätä on pitää Microsoftia, tuota monopolien monopolia ja kilpailun tappajaa itse pääpiruna. No, kaikilla on oikeus mielipiteeseensä ja massojen manipulointiin, mutta onko Microsoft lopulta yhtään sen pahempi, kuin kilpailijansa?

Suomalaisten sivustojen käyttäjätunnuksia sisältävä tiedosto vuosi nettiin kuukausi sitten parin krakkerin toimesta. CERT.fi tiedotti asiasta ja aluksi osoitteli sormella useampia php-pohjaisia bulletiini- ja blogisoftia.

Liukumasta lähtevään postiin on otettu käyttöön DKIM-allekirjoitus. Käytännössä tämä tarkoittaa sitä, että meidän domainit allekirjoittavat jokaisen viestin salakirjoitusavaimella jolla saadaan todennettua, että viesti on lähtenyt alunperin meiltä. Muunmuassa Yahoo etc. alkavat vaatimaan tuon todennuksen sähköpostiliikenteeltä, joka tulee heidän palvelimilleen.
Sinänsä ihan hyvä systeemi, joka hiukkasen hidastaa spämmereidenkin toimintaa.
